Our Story
Mark and Kent have been working together ever since their first homemade treehouse in their backyard when they were kids. Growing up in Fredericton, NB, the Small brothers were consistently involved throughout the community. Although their story is just beginning, their passion to build and create has always been there. Mark and Kent’s initial vision to create Benchmark was based on the gratification of creating a wide variety of the best possible finished products for clients. In addition, providing trail-blazing, professional service is something that sets Benchmark apart from the rest.

Founder, Owner
Mark is a Red Seal, licensed carpenter with over 10 years experience in the trade, leading large commercial and residential projects. Mark’s mind is built for design and booming with creativity. Being the main point of contact with our clients, his professionalism and insight concerning project planning and overview is second to none.
Kent Small
Co-Owner
Kent has a degree in Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick. He provides entrepreneurial knowledge essential for development, sustainability, and growth. While maintaining essential day-to-day operations, Kent ensures our business and employees are managed and organized effectively and fluently.
